Tor and I took Lars to the park for some culture. Apparently Lars does not like culture. We were sitting there enjoying the live music and eating some tasty gyros when little Lars started fussing. I picked him up to inconspicuously feed him under my "hooter hider" when I noticed a little brown on his leg. I asked Tor where it came from-- to which I got an you're an idiot look. Little did I know that the entire back half of Lars was brown. Tor scooped him up along with diaper bag and blanket (he has a little super hero in him) and took him away to get cleaned up. I looked down and noticed the front of my shirt had two wet spots where my ginormous boobs usually are. So, I followed my menfolk out of the park to a bench. By the time I got there Tor was sweating profusely and Lars was contentedly enjoying the balmy summer air. We proceeded to enjoy the music while looking at the beautiful roses in complete privacy.

Don't you find it odd that something like that didn't completely disgust you? I mean, seriously. If it would have happened before you had Lars, with someone else's baby...wouldn't you have barfed? I'd witnessed the "blowout" of some of my friend's babies before I had Riley and seriously thought to myself that there is no "too late" in putting your babies up for adoption. And then, a few weeks after Riley came home, I experienced it with her, and it was like a relief. I was actually just happy that number ones and number twos were back on schedule. And it continues to be that way. They puke and they poop and they stink and yet, there's nothing you love more. And husbands that help with and love the babies just as much as you do are always the sexiest people around.
It's sounds lame, even to my ears, the emotional gush that I spout about having a family...but now you're part of the club. It's just something you can't fully understand until you've been there. Being a mother completely changes you, and I really believe it should.
